Sunnybank Obesity Centre also offers two non-surgical options for weight loss, as well as the surgical option of Lap Banding, addressed in detail elsewhere on this website.  These options are either the Dr MacLeod’s Diet or Leisa’s Secret Diet. Both the Dr MacLeod’s Diet and the Leisa’s Secret diet are a system of replacement meals in a variety of forms.  For example, Dr MacLeod’s includes sachets of powders that are mixed into a large variety of soups, shakes and mousses, as well as bars in two flavours. Leisa’s Secret Diet is similar but comes in fewer flavours and does not include bars, soups or mousses. The suitability of one diet over the other is determined by Dr Nicholson in consultation with the patient, once a full history is taken.  Factors considered include Diabetes, allergies and food intolerances.

Both Dr MacLeod’s and Leisa’s Secret products and informational booklets can be purchased on our website or directly from Dr Nicholson’s rooms when you come for visits. You can also fax your order through, and in all cases you can choose pick-up or delivery.

You will require a referral from your GP to see Dr Nicholson regarding either of these diets, however we are also happy for you to purchase these products from the Sunnybank Obesity Centre, providing you are being regularly monitored by your GP or other doctor.
